MACHU PICCHU + SACRED VALLEY

Explore the best of the Andes on a 2-day tour to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Visit Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and traditional villages on day one, then take a scenic train to Machu Picchu and uncover the magic of the Inca citadel with a guided visit on day two. The perfect mix of culture, history, and adventure.

At 6:20 AM, we pick up our passengers to begin the tour. Our guide will explain the new regulations so we can enjoy our experience at the archaeological sites. We will board our transportation and make our first stop in the community of:

  • CHINCHEROS: A very traditional and typical place for its colorful handicrafts and textiles. The main attraction is the archaeological complex and the Sunday market, where bartering or exchanging products is still practiced. These traditions date back to the Inca era.
  •  MORAY: Here we find a kind of amphitheater, where each of the different terraces has a different microclimate, which varies the cultivation depending on the altitude.
  • SALINERAS: These are salt ponds exploited from the Inca era to the present day. The salt water flows out of a small mountain and reaches small terraces in The use of terraces or wells by the locals is hereditary, but it is commonly cultivated.
  • URUBAMBA: A great place with Inca crops, most importantly corn, and today a beautiful countryside with a large fruit production. An excellent place to enjoy our typical buffet lunch. Afterward, we continue the journey to:
  • OLLANTAYTAMBO: This is a military fortress that protected this area of the valley, strategically located between two mountains. Today, you can visit this fortress, as well as the rich archaeological sites, including the temple to Inti (the sun god), the baths of the Ñustas (princesses), and the Cachiccata chullpas, a group of symmetrically stepped and very steep terraces on the side of a hill.
