• 03:30 to 04:00 a.m. – Pick-up from hotels in Cusco (city center):
• We will start very early with the pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. This tour is ideal for those with limited time who want to visit one of Cusco’s natural wonders: Humantay Lake, located at the foot of the snow-capped mountain of the same name.
• 07:00 a.m. – Breakfast in Mollepata:
• We’ll travel for approximately 2 hours to the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy an Andean breakfast at a local restaurant.
• 07:30 a.m. – Drive to Soraypampa (3,900 m.a.s.l.):
• After breakfast, we’ll continue in our transport for another hour to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike to the lake.
• 08:30 a.m. – Start of the trek to Humantay Lake:
• From Soraypampa, we’ll begin a 2.5-hour hike. Along the way, you’ll see stunning landscapes of the Peruvian Andes, glaciers, and snow-capped mountains. Optional: Horse rental available with guide assistance (90 soles, rented on-site).
• 11:00 a.m. – Arrival at Humantay Lake:
• Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the turquoise-colored lake surrounded by majestic mountains.
• 12:30 p.m. – Return to Soraypampa:
• We’ll descend along the same path back to Soraypampa.
• 02:00 p.m. – Lunch in Mollepata:
• On the way back, we’ll stop in Mollepata for a buffet lunch with local options.
• 03:00 p.m. – Return to Cusco:
• After lunch, we’ll board our private transportation back to Cusco.
• 06:30 to 07:00 p.m. – Arrival in Cusco (Plaza de Armas):
• The tour ends with drop-off near Cusco’s Plaza de Armas.
