Tour Itinerary:

  • 4:00 a.m. – 4:30 a.m. | Pick-up from your accommodation and departure from Cusco

We will pick you up from your accommodation and begin the journey to Humantay Lake. Enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes as we travel to our destination.

  • 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. | Breakfast in Mollepata

After a two-hour drive, we will arrive in Mollepata (2,803 m.a.s.l.). Here, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast at a rural restaurant before continuing to Soraypampa.

  • 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. | Drive to Soraypampa

We will continue by vehicle for one more hour until we reach Soraypampa (3,800 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of our hike.

  • 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. | Ascent to Humantay Lagoon

Our ascent will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Along the way, admire the stunning views of the Salkantay and Humantay mountains. You may also spot alpacas and llamas. If needed, horses are available for rent to assist with the climb.

  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. | Free time at Humantay Lake

Once at the lake, take your time to relax, capture amazing photos, and connect with nature. The hike rewards you with panoramic views of turquoise waters and a peaceful atmosphere.

  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Descent to Soraypampa

We will begin the return hike to Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting.

  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Lunch in Mollepata

Before returning to Cusco, we will stop in Mollepata for a buffet lunch featuring local dishes.

  • 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Return to Cusco

After lunch, we will drive back to Cusco, arriving between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Drop-off will be near Plaza de Armas or at your accommodation.

  • Partial Refund: Cancellations made within 24 hours but before 7 PM on the day prior to the tour receive a 50% refund.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made after 7 PM on the day before the tour are non-refundable.

Yes, the trek is considered challenging due to its steep and demanding terrain. The first 20 minutes are relatively easy on flat ground, but after that, the trail becomes significantly steeper. The final stretch requires a steady uphill climb for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, making it a physically demanding hike, especially at high altitude.
