Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Acclimatization & City Tour

Your journey begins in Cusco. Our team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Afterward, take some time to rest and adjust to the altitude before the city tour.

First, visit the Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial art. Then, explore Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, where Incan and Spanish architecture merge.

Next, see Sacsayhuamán, an impressive fortress with massive stone walls. In addition, visit Qenqo, a mysterious site with underground passageways. Later, stop at Puca Pucara, a red-stone military complex, and Tambomachay, known for its intricate water channels.

Finally, return to your hotel for a restful evening.

Day 2: Sacred Valley – Cusco to Ollantaytambo

Early in the morning, start the day with a scenic drive to the Sacred Valley. Along the way, stop at Taray Viewpoint for panoramic views.

After that, explore Pisac Archaeological Site, famous for its terraces and tombs. Additionally, visit the Pisac Market to shop for handicrafts and taste local delicacies.

For lunch, enjoy a buffet in Urubamba, known for its high-quality corn.

Later in the afternoon, visit Ollantaytambo, a living Incan town with impressive terraces and temples. You can either stay overnight here or take the train to Aguas Calientes.

Day 3: Machu Picchu – The Lost City of the Incas

On this day, board the train to Aguas Calientes early in the morning. As you travel, enjoy stunning Andean landscapes. Upon arrival, take a short bus ride to Machu Picchu.

Once there, discover the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana Stone, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Royal Quarters. If you have an extra ticket, you can also hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for breathtaking views.

After the visit, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Later, board the train back to Cusco.

Day 4: Maras & Moray – The Agricultural Legacy of the Incas

Today, visit the Maras Salt Mines, where thousands of small salt pools create a unique landscape. These mines, still active, produce high-mineral Andean pink salt.

Afterward, explore Moray, an archaeological site with circular terraces. Surprisingly, the Incas used this site as an agricultural experiment to adapt crops to different climates.

In the afternoon, return to Cusco. Then, enjoy some free time to visit markets, museums, or traditional restaurants.

Day 5: Departure – Farewell to Cusco

On your final day, spend your morning exploring Cusco’s historic streets. You may also visit museums or shop for souvenirs. Finally, depending on your flight schedule, we will transfer you to the Cusco airport, marking the end of your Cusco 5 Days 4 Nights adventure.
